8/23 - Thursday - On the plane getting ready to fly to NC! Charlie LOVED looking out the window and was such an excited boy! Thanks to Benadryl, he was pretty good on the plane, thank goodness! :)
8/26 - Sunday - First day out on the beach during our week long beach trip! Here is little man with his Daddy, seeing the ocean for the first time. Second picture is sitting in the sand, getting wet, and playing with seashells for the first time! Honestly, he didn't love the beach at first, but totally got used to it and was having a blast by the end of the week!
8/26 - Sunday - Sweet boy wore himself out and fell asleep for a nap within minutes of me holding him. Our cute little sand flea! :)
8/28 - Tuesday - Day 3 at the beach, and you can see that Charlie is getting used to it. He started to eat the sand, hence his amazing "sand beard"! :)
8/29 - Wednesday - Day 4 at the beach. We drove up north to Corolla where you can drive out on the beach and look for wild horses... and guess what! We found some! Am I in heaven?!?! Wild horses on a beach? That's perfection. The second picture is of my amazing crab cake sandwich I had for lunch at Fat Crabs Rib Company. It's a real life Krabby Patty! ;)
8/30 - Thursday - Day 5 at the beach and Charlie has now progressed to working on his surfing stance ;)
9/1 - Saturday - We left the beach this day, but on the way out we stopped at the Wright Memorial and I snapped this shot of the reconstructed original plane that was first in flight!
The second picture was taken last night, 9/2, of my sweet Simba kitty who has been in my family since I was 8 years old. We got him when he was born, making him a whopping 17 years of age! And that's pretty darn old for a cat! However, for being so old, he's still hanging in there even though in recent years he's developed an overactive thyroid problem and has lost a lot of weight despite being on medication. When we got back from the beach he was extra skinny and weak (wouldn't eat or drink) and my parents took him to the emergency vet where they pumped him with fluids and drew blood for testing. Fortunately, he's doing ok now, but it still makes me wonder how much longer our sweet kitty will be with us. He is so loved!
